Live score, outcome, updates, highlights, and lineups for the Cristiano Ronado Saudi Pro League match between Al Taawoun

Al Nassr will play their final Saudi Pro League game of 2023 on Saturday, December 30, when they travel to Al Taawoun.

With a game remaining, Cristiano Ronaldo’s squad is in second place in the standings, 10 points behind leaders Al Hilal who have not lost. They crushed Karim Benzema’s Al Ittihad 5-2 in their last game, and they’ll be looking to build on that impressive goal-scoring performance this time around.

Al Nassr’s last competitive match before their mid-season break will be this one. This is Ronaldo’s final chance to add to his record-breaking goal total for 2023 as they won’t play again until the AFC Champions League Round of 16.

Al Taawoun won the rematch 2-0 in August, but they enter this match as clear second favorites after losing 3-1 at home to Al Fateh the previous week.

70 minutes: Mateus makes a good throughball, but Alaqidi swiftly gets off his line to stifle the effort. Then the offside flag is raised.

64 minutes: With a two-goal advantage, Al Nassr appears to be at ease. It appears that Al Taawoun has lost some of its previous battles.

55 minutes: After being placed through on goal, Ronaldo circles the goalie and misses! It appears that the goal would not have been permitted due to offside in any case.

50 minutes: ACHIEVEMENT! Otavio scores the first goal as Al Nassr takes a two-goal lead! The goal is terrible for Al Taawoun to give up: Otavio scores with a low finish from the edge of the six-yard box after El Mahdioui intercepts Brozovic’s cut-back.

Second segment

At the half, Al Taawoun 1-2 Al Nassr

It was Brozovic and Laporte who gave Al Nassr the advantage at the half.

45 + 3 minutes: Alaqidi made a great save! Joao Pedro attempts a low shot that is going into the bottom-left corner, but the Al Nassr keeper blocks it with a strong hand.

44 minutes: Otavio crosses the ball to Ronaldo from the right, but under pressure, he is unable to make solid contact on the header. Here, we’re easing up to halftime.

40 min: Great opportunity for 3-1! When he reaches the byline, Mane points a cross in the direction of the center circle. Otavio meets it, but he is unable to hold down his header.

35 minutes: ACHIEVEMENT! Let Al Nassr lead the way! Aymeric Laporte sends a forceful header into the right corner of the net and back across the goal. Excellent finish.

34 minutes: Let’s go! Al Amri’s glance header from a corner is scrambled behind for another corner after rebounding off the woodwork.

Thirty-one minutes in: Ronaldo trades passes with Brozovic, attempts a couple of stepovers, and attempts a tight angle shot, but it misses comfortably.Goal in 27 minutes! All of a sudden, Al Nassr is level! It’s a beautiful objective: Ronaldo receives a pass from Anderson Talisca, who then delivers an inch-perfect first-time pass to find Marcelo Brozovic, who finishes with a thunderous right foot. Superb football

Twenty minutes in: Al Nassr hasn’t exactly hinted at an equalizer yet. Ronaldo hasn’t even attempted a kick yet, and Sadio Mane is cutting a lonely figure on the attack’s left side.

13 minutes: A goal! Although Aschraf El Mahdioui’s penalty wasn’t very good, Nawaf Alaqidi’s save goes right back to the captain, who scores on the rebound.

Penalty: 11 minutes! After a VAR review, Al Taawoun is awarded a spot-kick for a handball. Musa Barrow threw a ball back into the area, which Abdulelah Al-Amri leaped for and the ball slid off his hand as he landed. Al Nassr is understandably incensed with the decision, and Ronaldo has been booked for protesting against it. That was an odd choice to make.

Five minutes: This is a low-key opening. Although they are in control, Al Nassr’s influence is little.
