NEW YORK Bad news, Bachelor Nation. Gerry and Theresa, a beloved “Golden Bachelor” couple, declared their divorce.
On “Good Morning America” this past Friday, the first pair of the “Golden” reality series made their news.
Only three months ago, on January 4, Gerry Turner and Theresa Nest tied the knot live on television.

They claimed to be anxious about the reaction of the supporters to the announcement.

They hope that other older citizens who are looking for love won’t lose hope because of their divorce.
Theresa said that their choice to divorce was unaffected by any of the tabloid claims.
The ex-couple claimed to be 70 and 72 years old, respectively, and didn’t want to waste time pretending to be married.

“It’s unfortunate, but that’s the way things go,” he answered.
Gary said, “But we don’t have to give the memories back.”
They did have a prenuptial agreement, so the divorce shouldn’t take too long to complete.
They claim they intend to remain best friends, but they also intend to keep looking for love with other people. Both of them were previously married to their high school sweethearts, who both died more than 40 years later of union.
Theresa offered the following advise to the prospective, unnamed “Golden Bachelorette”: “Be genuine and be yourself.”
