This week at the Chase Center, the Dallas Mavericks and Warriors will play without nearly half

of their two-headed monster. A right ankle ailment has kept Carrie Arong out of the starting

lineup for the 12th straight game; Coach Jason Kidd made the announcement over 90 minutes

prior to tipoff. Dallas has performed poorly over the past 11 games, going 5-6, and its NBA

All-Star guard has been out sick.

Conversely, after making it through the pregame warm-ups, NBA MVP contender Luka Dončić,

who had a left quad ailment at first, is cleared to play. After completing the pregame warm-up,

he was allowed to play with just forty minutes to spare before tip-off.

Maxi Kleber (foot sprain) and Seth Curry (illness) are also out.by Kidd

.

Warriors center Kevon Looney, who has appeared in 223 straight games, was listed as

questionable on Friday due to an illness, but he has been cleared to play on Saturday.

Gary Paylor, a reserve guard, will rejoin the Warriors lineup after sitting out the previous 13

games due to a torn calf.
